Public Out Patient Clinics:
If you are attending a Public consultant clinic and require blood tests, the hospital phlebotomy unit will carry these out for you with the form your consultant provided.
Private Consultant Clinics:
If you are attending a Private consultant clinic and require blood tests, they will give you a form to have them carried out in the private hospital.
If you decide not to attend the private hospital, then you may request them from the surgery here but we will require the following in advance:
- The Full List of Bloods Requested
- The Email Address of The Consultant (to send the results to)
Please Note:
Private Clinic Bloods will be subject to a fee of €60 for all patients as carrying out phlebotomy for Private Consultants is not covered under the medical card contract.
You will be asked to submit the Full List of Bloods requested in advance of the appointment, as some more specialist blood tests can only be carried out in a hospital setting.
